How do provincial exams work?
- Any high school student registered in a public, private or home school in Manitoba. Students must have a Provincial Student Number (MET #)
Do you offer Adult Education?
- No, TMO is designed for Manitoba students under the age of 21
How much does it cost?
- $350 per course + $10 processing fee per student.
- Invoices will be sent after the course withdrawal date each semester
- Payment by cheque to Pine Creek School Division
- Additional kit fees for Electricity
What is your withdrawal policy?
- No additional charge if withdrawal happens up to 14 days (Sept 23 and Feb 19)
- $175 will be charged if withdrawal is within 15 to 30 days (Sept 24 - Oct 7, Feb 20 - Mar 6)
- $350 after October 7, March 6
When do the classes run?
- Courses are synchronous. This means that classes are LIVE and occur at a set time (see timetable).
- Semester 1: September 9 – January 31
- Semester 2: February 5 – June 13
Are classes online?
- Courses delivered via the Google platform. Students access the Google classroom online or over the phone. Classes are recorded for play back purposes if students miss a class.
How do I get my course material?
- Students receive log in info to access Google where they will find course materials.
Can I do a course at my own pace, without logging in to class?
- TMO is designed like a regular high school where students attend classes during a set time (see timetable).
How many courses can a student take?
- Dependent upon class schedule.
Do you cancel classes on storm days?
- No. TMO classes continue despite some divisions being closed due to weather.
Do you offer summer school?
- Not at this time
What Technology is needed?
- Computer, laptop or phone
- access to internet or phone line
How do provincial exams work?
- Grade 12 students are required to write their Provincial Math and English Language Arts Exams at the school where they are enrolled and that school registers students for the exam. The TMO office will send a list to each school confirming who will be writing an exam. Final responsibility for the administration and marking of the test remains with the school and/or school division in which the student is enrolled. Grade 12 Provincial Tests: Policies and Procedure.
